Call me Ms Princess

Ribbons on shoes aaahhhh! I know cute right?

Ribbons have allows been paired up with celebrations and everything that is just gorgeous, I mean piggy tails, gift-boxes, accessories and many more. They represent delicacy, tenderness and LOVE. Mostly associated with anything that has to do with woman including (wait for it)... Shoes, they give an impression of Beauty and Glam, clearly the known quality we women possess.
LITTLE MS ADORABLE...

Ladies in ribbon pumps are your sweet church girls. They laugh a lot and smile even more. You just wanna keep them in your purse and brag about them to everybody, you know like your kitty cat. They are fun and your girly-girls: who love anything pink and being pampered. Be careful how you handle them because they bruise easily, but all-in-all  these are the kind of girls you can take home to meet your parents.

This is some Hip Hop swegg.com

I got to admit this blog thing has been on my mind since my last post, just been too busy with my school work. Annnnnyway I thought you, my lovely shoes geeks would be interested in a read of the dopest sneaker, yep you guessed it...Air Force.
SWEGG has no humble-bone

Women can be cool too in Nike sneakers.

If it is comfort and swegg you are looking for this is definitely your dose. Boundaries have been crossed when it comes to this piece, I mean Air force with a cocktail dress? I know what the hek, but from my observation and to great surprise they suit perfectly fine, that is if you are not the uptight type. This is a sneaker that is out there, daring and bold, not only does it cause stares it also make you feel like you are walking in clouds. Originally created as a basketball sneaker it made way to the fashion scene worn by various  people for style purposes. We see this in celebrities such as the Young Monet tycoon Lil Wayne and our local A.K.A who come across as arrogant and on top of their game, now we know it all comes from these footwear.

This sneaker makes you feel confident, well too confident at times. It gives you the sporty, engaged and hustler kind of look. It has be associated with the look of Hip Hop, this is seen with various rappers in these master piece. In these sneakers, you feel care free, you think outside the box, actually there is no box at all to consider, you feel like you can say what you want and the rest don't matter. You sure can't say people who are fond of the Air Force sneaker are humble or grounded. They see the world as a play ground waiting to be explored.

Parden my Ghettoness

Hey there lovely people, I missed you from our lasts week's "heel" topic :( so I thought I should involve both my girls and guys in this week’s entry, to avoid being sexist about shoes, after all shoes have no gender right? especial this week's. So I thought what else could we chat about than our beloved Converse?
Getting ghetto with converse

I don’t know about you all but when I see converse sneakers I think of the noisy streets, kwaito and house music and iKOTA, the hood sushi lol. It is with no doubt that converse is a beautiful sneaker, actually one of the best selling sneakers amongst the Black community, not being racist ofcoz but converse screams out I am ghetto infect I am ghetto-fabulous. You step in them and you forget about manners, no crossing your legs for girls or even the basic process of cleaning them up. They offer this gang star thuggish image, the feeling that you could die today and have no regrets in the heavens. Honestly, I swear that the converse-head’s motto in life is live for today and tomorrow shall see itself (I think that is how the saying goes). They make you feel free and ready to take off at any moment; I guess it is due to their unbelievable comfort. We flaunt in them and some even take it to an extent of incorporating them in their image, you the Pansulas.

Converse is seen worn by celebrities like; yes, I would not leave his name out Chris Brown J who has a brand image centred on him being this bad boy kind of guy. We may remember very well our very own South African artist Zola who too is fond of these sneakers he even at some point branded them to his zola7 pieces. So I think we all agree that brand image around converse gives and ever-lasting impression that you are a street-wise ghetto champ. We have people who choose to brand their own converse to make a clear statement of the brand.

Straight from the heels' mouth

A casual look for spring, pump peep toe heels.

*As I die slowly inside* Oh! Whoever came up with the idea of heels must have been smart and evil too. I mean those things hurt like hell, but do we care nooooo. In so much pain, we still manage to pull our heads up high and walk with pride and take charge of these little gorgeous monsters. They don’t only make us feel beautiful but they act as a confidence boost, when we are in them we own the whole world and nobody can tell us anything.

I’m sure my fellow guys will agree with me, that a woman in heels turn heads, and is very attractive. I mean there is nothing more appealing than a woman who knows her stuff. You know what I mean the Neyo-Miss Independent type. One thing great about them is that they are an all-season-wear and go with anytihng from jeans to formal pensil skirts.

The longer they are the more power engine you have. Keep it in dark colours or metallic for a more serious look. Heels are a brand that is famous around women. They are a brand that is associated in bringing out femininity and both power and tenderness in women. So strong it has represanted women.

Brands like Beyonce, South Africa's Bonang Matheba and Uyanda Mbuli are almost always seen wearing heels. And to no surprise they are very strong brands  They are classy, indipendent and powerful in what they do and very fashion forward. This tells us that media does associate heels with woman power. We see this with the annual Heel Run for Cancer.
So in short, heels do say a lot about the person you are. It say "I am Woman and I am in Charge"
